MyWaypoint was founded by Richard Pylychuk to solve a recurring problem: organizations are not short on information, but they consistently struggle to turn that information into something governed, searchable, reliable, and usable. The refinery was built to address that problem at the infrastructure level — through a repeatable pipeline, not through one-off projects or manual processes.
MyWaypoint was built in British Columbia, Canada from a simple observation:

Data should come with attribution. Where it came from, how it was processed, and how it is used should be traceable — not opaque.
Trust requires accountability. Every dataset we produce carries transformation history, lineage, and quality indicators. Governance is built in, not bolted on.
More data isn't better data. Refined, trustworthy data is better data. We prioritize correctness and completeness over raw coverage.

The data you bring to us remains yours. We do not claim ownership over client data. We do not use it beyond the scope of the work we're doing for you.

Client data is processed to deliver the contracted service. It is not used to train general-purpose models.

MyCleanData is the public data marketplace and API platform powered by the MyWaypoint refinery. It demonstrates how public information can be acquired, refined, governed, and delivered through searchable catalogs and APIs at scale.
For enterprise customers, MyWaypoint applies the same refinery model to private, internal, and custom data environments — the same pipeline, the same governance, applied to your data.
